Author Rick Arruzza shared his books about his real-life dog Sparky with the St. Anne students. His Sparky stories were brought to life through a fun-filled presentation highlighted by Sparky pictures, and readings from the books.

Sparky was rescued from a NYC pound by Adopt-a-Dog, a Connecticut-based animal agency. The author will donate $1 from each book sale to Pets Unlimited, a SF-based non-profit veterinary clinic and animal shelter. Mr. Arruzza personally autographed each book. The students raised over $75 for Pets Unlimited.
